Sally Lannin has provided one-on-one consulting services for thousands of MBA applicants all over the world. During her decades managing MBA Strategies she has seen firsthand what works, and how clients can spend their time and money most efficiently and effectively.
Sally received her BA from Stanford and MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School, where she continued to volunteer as an alumni interviewer. Prior to founding MBA Strategies, Sally launched her career as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. and later served as director of Stanford Business School’s Career Management Center, where she built the GSB’s program for developing and maintaining relationships with employers recruiting Stanford MBAs, as well as provided personalized career guidance to all first and second-year MBA students. She is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Directors for Stanford’s Alumni Association, which serves all 220,000 Stanford alumni worldwide.
Sally works from her offices in Minneapolis and San Francisco.

Beth has been providing career counseling and perspective to young professionals for many years, and has been a partner with MBA Strategies since 2017. She holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University. Beth participates as an alumni interviewer for prospective undergraduates at Northwestern, is a member of the Leadership Circle, and supported the creation of The Writing Place, an on-campus resource for students.
Beth held sales and marketing leadership roles in the residential development industry for over 30 years and continues to engage in residential real estate development and consulting projects for national development companies.
Beth’s community involvement includes long-term service in leadership positions on the Board of MidPen Housing, one of the largest non-profit providers of affordable housing in the San Francisco Bay Area. She helped launch Summit Preparatory Charter High School, one of California’s most innovative public high schools, and served on its Board for many years.
